The 2019 award ceremony took place on June 30 in the historic merchants' hall  in Freiburg. Margrethe Vestager received the International Prize of the the Friedrich-August-von-Hayek-Stiftung, while Wolfgang Clement received the Publishing Prize of the Friedrich-August-von-Hayek-Stiftung.
